Tarporley War Memorial Hospital is the only remaining hospital of its kind in the UK and is run by a charitable trust. Our staff are working tirelessly to support the public through this crisis, and so today I am appealing to you for your continued support.
We are so lucky to have the most incredible, loyal and caring supporters here at Tarporley War Memorial Hospital. We had an exciting calendar of events planned over the next couple of months which we have had to cancel; sadly, this has been necessary in order to protect our supporters and our staff and attempt to delay the spread of this virus.
It costs around £1.3 million to run the hospital each year. The NHS provides only a third of the income needed. The other two thirds come from respite and fundraising, which is made up of donations, events and legacies. As it requires around £3500 per day to run the hospital, every donation, however large or small, is equally valued by all our trustees, staff, volunteers and patients alike. But the reality is this pandemic will truly impact on us as a charity and therefore our ability to support the amazing work undertaken by our staff will suffer as a result.
Our wonderful nursing staff, cooks and cleaners are currently in a vulnerable position while continuing to work at the hospital and I am extremely proud of every single one of them. I know we can get through this with your help. By donating whatever you can today, you can help us to continue some of our essential hospital and patient support.
I cannot thank you enough for everything you have done for the hospital and I appreciate your support so much at this very uncertain time.
