10 Festive Fundraising Ideas

We have 10 fabulously festive fundraising ideas to keep you busy throughout December! Whether you`re a keen runner, baker, crafter or simply like taking on an interesting challenge, there is an idea for everybody!

1) Santa Dash
Whether it’s a 5K run around your local park or a 20k walk around your city, pop on your Santa hat, grab your trainers get sponsored to do your very own Santa Dash.

2) Be a TWMH elf
Channel your inner festive Elf and help out throughout December. Ask for donations in return for present wrapping, card writing, dog walks or a festive taxi service.

3) Socially distant festivities
Social distancing doesn’t mean the fun stops! Hold a virtual Festive Film Night, Christmas Quiz or Wine and Cheese Evening. Ask for donations to join in the festivities!

4) Get competitive
Whether it’s Christmas tree decorating, the craziest Christmas jumpers or the most festive poetry, pick your competition theme, source a prize and charge a donation per entry.

5) Celebrate and donate
Why not ask for donations instead of gifts this year? You could also donate instead of sending Christmas cards, holding a Secret Santa or going on a Christmas night out!

6) Last hour’s Pay
Before you clock off for the Christmas break, donate your last hour’s pay to Tarporley War Memorial Hospital, invite friends, family and colleagues to join you and do the same!

7) Christmas dares
Accept socially distanced Christmas dares in return for donations. Why not try eating 10 mince pies in one sitting or learning how to say Merry Christmas in 20 languages?

8) Get crafty
Whether it’s sparkly baubles, knitted scarves or homemade confectionery, save someone the job of choosing a present this year by Christmas crafting in return for donations.

9) Guess the name of the Tarporley War Memorial elf.
Get in touch for your free sweepstake poster £2 per entry and the chance to win half the prize money (with the rest coming to Tarporley War Memorial Hospital of course!).

10) Bake it better
From mince pies to chocolate logs, gingerbread biscuits to panettone, hold a bake sale, coffee morning or afternoon tea.
Jump on a video call with your friends and family
Bake your favourite tasty treat and have one of the non-bakers judge the best one!
Make a suggested minimum donation of £5 to participate.

How do I get Involved?
1. Pick your festive fundraisers from the list (or maybe you have other ideas!). You might want to do one fundraiser, or even challenge yourself to do all 12!
2. Set up your online fundraising page in aid of Tarporley War Memorial Hospital. This is the easiest way to collect donations and sponsorship.
3. Don’t forget to share your festive fundraising activities on social and get as many people involved as possible!
