On Saturday 29th June we held our Centenary Ball to celebrate 100 years of service.
320 guests attended the event, which was held in the grounds of Cholmondeley Castle. Guests were welcomed with a champagne reception and then seated to a three course meal which was expertly prepared by Horseradish Catering.
Guests were then entertained by auctioneer Christina Trevanion who conducted the live auction where 6 lots had the chance to be bid on with a total of £12,000 raised on the auction alone. A silent auction was also held throughout the evening where a further 30 lots had the chance to be bid for. The guests were also treated by performances by Belle Voci and Dance Duo Will and Lucy. The night was closed off with a brilliant set from The Kings
We exceed out target and raised an impressive £45,000 which will go towards our centenary appeal to to raise a million pounds to enable the hospital to extend the current bed capacity including care for dementia patients, extended minor injuries, day case iv treatments and many much needed clinics including mental health. These are all areas of demand in the community, from the very young to the very old.
Thanks must go to all our sponsors and guests for helping achieve this fantastic total.
